Near the stunning Neahkahnie Beach, this deck offers an incredible sunset view! Originally, it was tiled over an asphalt surface; however, over time, the deck showed significant wear and needed a complete overhaul. Our team began by stripping away all old materials, exposing the underlying issues, and making crucial repairs to restore the foundation’s integrity. A new 1/2″ plywood substrate was then expertly overlaid to ensure a strong, lasting surface, and Duradek—a durable, waterproof membrane—was installed. Unlike tile, this membrane solution is designed for low maintenance, withstanding coastal weather conditions and ensuring year-round usability. We preserved the existing fascia-mounted railing, which remained securely in place throughout the process. Now, this deck is ready to offer many years of worry-free enjoyment, providing a safe and beautiful setting for sunset views along the Oregon coast.
